4. An observation or commentary that links ideas and questions from our course with learning that you are carrying out in your other COR 330 course this semester. Consider this blog posting reflective.

Something I have noticed about this cor class and my other cor 330 class is that a lot of the current and past issues are closely related to religion. This seems like a pretty obvious observation but in this Cor class we have been discussing the issues between Israel and Palestine through movies, and the Middle East in general through movies. In my other Cor 330 class we have been learning about the difference between the Middle East and other religions through readings and comparing the Koran to the Bible. The people that live in the Middle East are just so connected and tied to their religion that it makes them seem like extremists more so than someone who would go to church and read the bible in the U.S. They do things differently there and for some reason that makes them such a threat to the U.S. To me it always comes back to the religion that creates issues. Whether it be between two Middle East countries or the Middle East and the U.S, because they have such a strong connection to their religion it is all they do and will do anything for it.
