The civil war in Syria has brought more violence than ever this last month. The amount of humanitarian aid President Obama has sent has been tremendous. While we have spent over $385 million in International institutions and nongovernmental organizations, we still aren't doing enough. The human rights atrocities are not being stopped, which should be what we focus on.
Recently Obama signed off on a new package of nonlethal aid for Syrian rebels. This is a step in the right direction, and the U.S. is sending a major signal with this kind of support.
