After Talks End, Iran Announces an Expansion of Nuclear Fuel Production

I don't feel as if this is actually a surprise to anyone. The article even mentions that since 2006, Iran has had  a Nuclear Technology Day. It seems as if the country is so tunnel-visioned on becoming a nuclear power that no amount of sanctions or talks are going to actually affect its attempt at progress towards the ultimate goal of nuclear weapons and power status. Ahmedinejad made statements regarding "hegemonic" Western powers that have essentially exhibited that zero progress has been made in negotiation. Frankly, since no action is being taken that can actually stop their development, it's hard to see what the purpose of these talks could be. Perhaps the upcoming election will see some sort of change in the positive direction, but I feel skeptical about that.
