This article I found in the NY Times talks about a major political feud that has been escalating in Iran recently. The current president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, released videos that showed members of the opposing political party partaking in fraudulent business deals. With the next presidential election in Iran to be held in mid-June, the release of these tapes could play a major role. Iran is a country that is known for having high levels of corruption and Ahmadinejad is hoping that by revealing the corruption of his opposition it will help him to maintain his presidency.
