This article talks about the findings of old documents that linked a Jewish society in a Persian part of the Muslim empire. These articles were find in a mountainous region of Afghanistan. The articles are claimed to be over a 1000 years old and date back to the 11th century. Some of the documents described what everyday life was like then and even contained some legal documents and commercial transaction. Another one of the documents had a discussion of Hebrew words on it that were spelled the same but have different meanings. There were ven documents talking about debts that the Jews owed to the Muslims. Its neat to see these documents finally surface and to see what life was like between neighboring religious groups. The documents are now located in the National Library of Isreal.
