The above link connects to an article done by the Human Rights Watch. Currently Sudan has been making a lot of efforts to stifle any kind of protest, including peaceful. This government led campaign is decreasing diversity, open discussion on important topics, and human rights movements. This in turn is only making things worse in Sudan. At this point in time because of South Sudan's recent secession, Sudan has become very poor and is mostly depending on agricultural opportunities and gold mining ventures to save their GDP. Silencing the people and crushing any sort of civil growth is only going to seal their fate.
